Mrs. Charls has been appointed as the new Government Agent of Vavuniya district. Mr. Nicolous Pillai , the GA of Mannar was functioned as acting GA for Vavuniya until this new appointment.

A new police station is ceremoniously opened last Saturday at newly liberated Vidathalthivu area of Mannar district. Senior D.I.G. Mahina Balasooriya and his delegation participated at the opening ceremony according to reports received from the police head-quarters.

Mobile services will be conducted in all DS divisions of Mannar district at January of next year. These services will help solve problems faced by people who live in newly liberated areas of Mannar district according to secretary of the Ministry of constitutional affairs and national integration.Last 20th and 21st of September a mobile service was conducted in Mannar.  This process is a part of the 90 days program initiated by the government to restore civil administration in Mannar district.

Registration of people who live in Nanattan DS division of Mannar district is currently underway. This was stated by Hon. Minister of resettlement and disaster relief services Risath Badiudeen.
